THE new Glasgow Warriors A team will be among the first sides in action when the FOSROC Super Series Sprint kicks off on Friday 7 April. The Warriors will visit Ayrshire Bulls that evening at the same time as Stirling Wolves welcome Boroughmuir Bears to Bridgehaugh.

Edinburgh Rugby A, the other new team in the Sprint, start their campaign the following day with a short trip across the city to Heriot’s. Southern Knights visit Watsonians earlier the same afternoon.

As was revealed yesterday when the new format for both the Sprint and the subsequent Super Series Championship was announced, the two A teams will take part in only the first three rounds of the former competition. The six remaining teams will then play another three rounds of fixtures and will then have a play-off day at the end of May to determine final placings.

Broadcast details are expected to be announced before the action gets under way next month.
