MATT SCOTT has been ruled out of the remainder of this year’s RBS 6 Nations championship through injury. The 25-year-old centre sustained an elbow injury whilst playing for Edinburgh against Connacht on Friday night and a MRI scan on Monday afternoon confirmed that he has suffered ligament damage.
Further examination this coming Friday (11th March) will confirm if the player requires surgery on the joint, however it is clear at this stage that he will not be fit again to play in either of Scotland’s two remaining Six Nations matches. He will return to his club for on-going care and assessment.
