SCOTLAND will kick-off their 2021 Six Nations campaign against reigning champions England at Castle Park in Doncaster on Saturday 3rd April (3pm kick-off). They then have a week off before playing their final pool match against Italy at Scotstoun on Saturday 17th April (5pm kick-off).
The championship has been pushed back in the calendar and reformatted this year in response to the challenges presented by Covid meaning that it will consist of two pools of three teams, who will play each other on a round-robin basis with one home match and one away match, before playing-off against the equivalently ranked team in the opposite pool on 24th April aka ‘Super Saturday Finals Day’.
On Super Saturday Finals Day, Italy get the action underway with a noon match against the side who finish in the equivalent position in Pool A. Current Champions England play their counterparts at 2pm, while Scotland and their opponents will be playing the last match of the day at 5pm.
The Championship is to be shown in full across digital services in the UK, Ireland and Italy, with BBC Wales showing the Wales versus Ireland match, and the final game involving England being shown on BBC2, meaning a Women’s Six Nations game will be shown on the main network for the first time. All other games will be on BBC iPlayer.
