Schools to play National Cup, Shield, Plate and Bowl quarter-finals this week

THE quarter-finals of the National Schools Cup, Shield, Plate and Bowl quarter-finals are to be played this week. 

A round-up of last weekend’s National Youth (club) Cup quarter-finals will be included in our regular Youth and Schools update on Wednesday.

The draw for the Schools competitions is:

U18 National Schools Cup

  • Stewart’s Melville College v Dollar Academy – Wednesday @ 2pm (kick-off time TBC)
  • Loretto School v The Edinburgh Academy – Thursday @ 2pm
  • Hutchesons’ Grammar School v Strathallan School Wednesday @ 3pm

  1. Why aren’t these fixtures visible in adavance on the SRU website? Most years the cup fixtures are visible but not this year! This story is 3 days in adavance from a hard working media source doing the SRU’s job for them. Last year it was all post Xmads and made the season more meaningful for schools. Now a team can be out by early Nov and……seaon just fritters away.

    • P.S. They’re now up on the website – but they most def weren’t 2 days ago. I generally find the SRU website a bit haphazard.
