FRANCE head coach Fabien Galthié has made 13 changes to the side he sent out against Scotland at Murrayfield last weekend ahead of this Saturday’s re-match in St Etienne.

Second-row Cameron Woki and blindside flanker Paul Boudehent – a debutant last weekend – are the only survivors in the starting XV after Les Bleus’ defeat in Edinburgh five days ago.

This looks pretty close to France’s full-strength team with Antoine Dupont returning to captain the side from scrum-half in an all new backline which also feature Romain Ntamack at stand-off and Gaël Fickou at outside-centre.

No 8 Gregory Alldritt, openside flanker Charles Ollivon and hooker Julien Marchand are among the big-hitters returning to the pack.

France (v Scotland at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, Saint-Etienne, Saturday 8.05pm): T Ramos; D Penaud, G Fickou, J Danty, G Villiere; E Ntamack, A Dupont ©; C Baille, J Marchand, D Aldegheri, C Woki, T Flament, P Boudehent, G Alldritt, C Ollivon. Substitutes: P Bourgarit, J Gros, U Atonio, F Verhaeghe, B Chalureau, S Macalou, M Lucu, L Bielle-Biarrey.

  1. Looks a very good team france are putting out. Of course like every other team they need to give their first 15 a hit out as well as we do. Should be a good game. Result doesn’t matter if we can keep within a score then that’ll do. Main thing is nobody gets injured for either team.

  2. It would have been good to see Scotland continue with the Russell experiment as captain. He appeared to have established a good rapport with OKeefe last week and the captaincy didn’t appear to affect his game. Unlike Ritchie whose form has dipped since becoming captain and whose place in the team is under threat.

  3. I’d love to see the 53yo EMILE Ntamack back in the French XV haha! I’m sure you meant his son Romain 😉

  4. This looks close to their full side. A real test and away on French turf – this will absolutely show where we are – my only issue, this is going to be played like a 6N game and I hope we don’t see any long term injuries (or red cards).

    • Agree – jury is out for me with the amount of pre WC games played. 2 down and a full ding dong on Sat and a tough game against Georgia will be tough on the boys before a ball is kicked at the big dance. i suppose its game time but careful lads !!

  5. Apologies for calling a guy who beats his wife and assaults our players a silly name… NOT.

I have called plenty of English, Irish and Welsh silly names when they act like idiots also, all you need to do is check previous articles.

I’ve noticed That Gael Fickou’s name has been misspelt, why are you not having a go at that also, quit your agenda against me.

    • Well said AngryGala2 – im with you. A very serious allegation and complete and utter nonsense. Show friendly banter the red card have a day off.

From a player of 20 years with Maori heritage, played in 10 different countries and fluent in friendly and inclusive banter.

  6. Still running with the pathetic bigotry?? You never spell Caucasian players names deliberately incorrectly. He’s been convicted of domestic abuse so likely will never get the chance to give to play again. You’ll have to find another minorities to make ‘jokes’ about now. People like you are why so many parents decide not to let their kids be exposed to rugby clubs. It’s not 1974 anymore.

    • Steady on mate. you cant fling about such a serious allegation like that based off a light hearted joke. we are all different thats what makes us the same – Footy is great because of how inclusive it is and we all know and celebrate that fact. I know your heart was in the right place but i assure you, the fight you are fighting is one we all fight and labelling someone as something serious as that isnt the way to go, especially when he didnt do anything to deserve it.

  7. Where is Mohammed Hummus? Was hoping he would be selected so we can play against 14 at some point during the game.

Tough team, but it’s what we need to prepare ourselves for the atmosphere and Intensity against SA.
