THE ‘Independent Corporate Governance and Business Review’ of the Scottish Rugby Union, which has been compiled by Sir Bill Gammell and Norman Murray was distributed to clubs this morning.

The cover letter from SRU President Dee Bradbury and SRU Chairman Colin Grassie stated that both the Board and Council “are supportive of the Review’s principles”.

“The Gammell-Murray Report builds on the progress we have all made,” the letter adds, seemingly obvious to some of the major governance failures which have blighted Murrayfield in the last two years.

The letter also invites club delegates to attend a questions and answers session at Murrayfield on 15th January.
