CHARLIE BRETT kicked (almost all) his goals and had a hand in three or four of Currie Chieftains’ tries in a comprehensive win over Jed-Forest so is selected at full-back, just ahead of the unfortunate to miss out Glasgow Hawk James Couper, who was TOL’s man-of-the-match in his team’s comfortable win over Selkirk.

Max Wallace‘s powerful running was a key component of Edinburgh Accies win over Musselburgh so he wears the No 14 jersey, and James McCaig grabbed a brace for the Chieftains so is selected at No 11 despite a late yellow-carding.

James Pinkerton‘s two tries for Hawks earns him the outside-centre spot and his midfield partner on this occasion is Marr’s evergreen skipper Conor Bickertsaff, who combined with his long-time partner-in-crime Colin Sturgeon, this week’s stand-off, to pull the strings as Hawick’s unbeaten record hit the rocks at Fullarton Park. Patrick Ritchie’s hat-trick for Edinburgh Accies means he is at scrum-half.

Into the pack, the mobile Cole Imrie of Edinburgh Accies was solid in the set-piece and worked hard around the park against Musselburgh to earn selection at loose-head, Fraser Renwick sneaks in at hooker after winning a couple of turnovers and fronting up in defence on a disappointing day for Hawick, and Marcus Goodwin is at tight-head prop after a big afternoon for Glasgow Hawks.

Joss Arnold was a useful source of possession at line-out time and worked hard as Musselburgh dug in to claim a four-try bonus-point away to Edinburgh Accies, so he joins Ally McCallum, who is selected just ahead of his Currie Chieftains team-mate Will  Inglis, in the second-row.

James Glendinning, who made the move from Gala to Kelso during the summer, provided valuable power to the Kelso pack as the Borderers made it two draws from two matches since their promotion back to the top flight of Scottish club rugby against Heriot’s Blues at Poynder Park. Rory Kirkpatrick of the Blues makes it two from two in dream team selections this season at openside flanker. And Blair Jardine‘s huge contribution both sides of the ball gets him the No 8 jersey.

  1. Great to see some of the Marr lads back in the dream team after a great performance against the current champions.
