AYR’S clash against Heriot’s, and Highland’s clash with Stirling Wolves have both been called off in response to continued uncertainty related to the Covid-19 outbreak.
Boroughmuir still have a big job on their hands to avoid joining Dundee High in being relegated, but they gave themselves a lifeline by beating fellow bottom four side Kelso last time out. The Edinburgh side are at home – albeit at the 3G in Queensferry – again on Saturday with fifth placed Gala the visitors. A Gala win would keep up their hopes of trying to overhaul Melrose and finish fourth.
“We remember Gala performed well when we played them at Netherdale [the Maroons won 36-14 in early November], as a result, we understand that it’ll take a good performance to challenge them, but hope we can take some momentum from last week’s showing,” said Boroughmuir head coach Richard Sievwright.
