DANNY WILSON has brought 10 players who were away on international duty last weekend straight back into his match-day squad for Friday night’s away match against Montpellier in the last 16 of the European Challenge Cup.

Loose-head Oli Kebble, tight-head Zander Fagerson, second-row Rob Harley and No8 Ryan Wilson boost the starting pack, while hooker George Turner will look to bring some oomph to proceedings off the bench.

It is all change at half-back, with Ali Price and Adam Hastings starting. Meanwhile, Sam Johnson is back at inside centre, Rufus McLean is on the right wing and Huw Jones is at full-back.

Harley and McLean did not play for Scotland last weekend, but travelled with the squad to Paris.

Montpellier v Glasgow: Danny Wilson glad to have selection headache

Foto Lokotui shifts from open-side to blind-side flanker, while hooker Fraser Brown, second-row Richie Gray, outside centre Nick Grigg and winger Lee Jones retain their places in the side which picked up a bonus point win over Benetton last weekend.

“It’s good to welcome the Scotland internationals back into our group this week,” said Wilson “We have had a few difficult selection decisions for the weekend. We wanted to put our best players out on the park and at the same time reward those who have been performing well for us.

“Tomorrow is a big game for us, against a big team, and our boys are up for the challenge.”

  1. You almost forget what a strong team Glasgow are when we’ve got almost a full squad to pick from, it’s been so seldom this season that it’s been possible. Shame to see George H on the bench after a great first game back last week but otherwise this looks like a powerful team.

  2. Feel sorry for Thompson – great displays and bench is the reward. Also much prefer Horne at 9.

  3. That’s a good strong team. There’s a real chance that Glasgow could get quite far here

  4. Nice team, glad Horne jnr at least on the bench. Big game but despite the rubbish season the challenge cup is there for the taking.
