DANNY WILSON has made just one change to the starting XV which lost to Edinburgh a fortnight ago ahead of tomorrow afternoon’s United Rugby Championship play-off clash against Leinster at the RDS, with 20-year-old Gregor Brown coming in to start at openside flanker.
Tom Gordon drops to a bench which has a six-two split between forwards and backs, and which features hooker Fraser Brown and scrum-half Gorge Horne making their comebacks after lengthy injury lay-offs.
Defeat in this match will bring the curtain down on the season for Warriors while victory will set-up a secure a home URC play-off semi-final against either the Cell C Sharks or Vodacom Bulls next weekend.
“We’re excited to be in a quarter-final and playing away at Leinster is as big a challenge as it gets,” said head coach Wilson “Leinster have been the benchmark in the league in recent years.
“We know we go into this game as underdogs, but we’re confident that we have prepared well this week, welcome the challenge this game presents and look forward to putting our own imprint on the game.”
Meanwhile, Leinster have made seven personnel and two positional changes to the starting team from last weekend’s Heineken Cup Final defeat to La Rochelle with stand-off Jonny Sexton, winger James Lowe and hooker Ronan Kelleher among those who have dropped out the squad altogether, while centre Robbie Henshaw and back-row Jack Conan have dropped to the bench.
