HILLHEAD JORDANHILL ran out comfortable 27-3 winners in their top of the table clash against Murrayfield Wanderers at Hughenden on Sunday afternoon. The Glasgow side now lead the BT Women’s Premier League by a single point.

The match also witnessed the long awaited comeback of Jade Konkel – Scotland’s international back-row and only full-time female rugby player – after seven months out with a dislocated shoulder.

Wanderers came out on top [24-38]  when these two superpowers of the women’s game in Scotland met at the same venue on 2nd October, and they will meet again in the final round of matches in this campaign on 15th January, in a match which will almost certainly decide who will finish the season as top dogs.
