Langholm Sevens: A big day in The Muckle Toon

Watsonians aim to consolidate position at top of the Kings of the 7s table

MOST eyes will be on Murrayfied this afternoon and the celebration of club and pro rugby which is Silver Saturday, but down in Langholm there is the not so inconsequential matter of round six of the Kings of the 7s series.

Watsonian will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of the table after three wins on the bounce at Melrose, Hawick and Berwick, but the chasing pack which includes Melrose, Gala, Edinburgh Accies and Jed-Forest are determined to close the gap.

Admission is £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and under-16s get in for free. There will be free childrens entertainment available all afternoon. The bar in the clubrooms will be open and new for 2018 will be a gin and prosecco bar in the grounds from 2pm to 6pm. Food and ice cream will be on sale througout the day by Border Hog Roast and Pelosis Ice creams, and there will be a karaoke in the clubrooms after the final until 10.30pm.
