GLASGOW WARRIORS new signing Allan Dell has been sidelined with a calf injury and is expected to return at the end of the first block of games towards the end of October. The Scotland international loose-head is also currently recovering from a period of sickness, according to a squad update issued by the club today.

Huw Jones (back), Ally Miller (back) and Enrique Pieretto (shoulder) all continue their rehabilitation process from their respective injuries, with no anticipated return to action date provided.

Ollie Smith and Ross Thompson are also out of action at the moment with back injuries but are expected to return to training in the coming weeks.

Scrum-half Jamie Dobie will link back up with Glasgow later this week after a loan spell in New Zealand with National Provincial Championship side Bay of Plenty, but is to undergo an assessment on a hamstring injury which is expected to sideline him for a number of weeks.

Gregor Brown – who graduated from an academy to a senior contract during the summer – has re-joined the training group after successfully recovering from his groin injury.

Meanwhile, winger Logan Trotter and fly-half Joel Hodgson – who both trained at Scotstoun during pre-season – have departed the club to pursue new opportunities. Prop Lucio Sordoni, scrum-half Cameron Jones and fly-half Will Hunt all continue to train with the squad.
