SCRUM-HALF George Horne and full-back Ollie Smith have been released by Scotland to start for Glasgow Warriors in tomorrow [Friday] night’s United Rugby Championship clash against Zebre at Scotstoun.
Meanwhile loose-head prop Jamie Bhatti and hooker Fraser Brown, who both came off the bench against France last weekend, are also in named in the match-day 23 as replacements.
Also on the bench is prop Oli Kebble who is set to make his first appearance since early December after recovering from a shoulder injury.

Allan Dell makes his first start for the club since his summer arrival having recovered from injury to debut off the bench during last weekend’s away loss against the Lions, and fellow Scotland cap Scott Cummings – who is also on the comeback trail – moves from the second-row to blindside flanker,
Promising prospects Alex Samuel and Gregor Brown are named as second-row and back-row cover (respectively) on the bench.
“It was unfortunate that our unbeaten run came to an end in the way that it did [against Lions away last weekend-, as we know we have performed better this season, but we’re looking forward to getting the wheels in motion again at Scotstoun tomorrow night against a difficult opponent,” said head coach Franco Smith.
“The players have responded well in training all week, and have worked hard across all areas. We’re looking forward to running out at home tomorrow night.”

Yes,some welcome returns (at the business end of the season) in an impressive sounding pack. Totally agree also that George Horne seems set to be badly treated yet again by Tooney.
With the comments a 5 pointer is a must, especially as we have Muster away next, and we are in competition with them for 4th place. Also agree looks like Horne is not getting a run against Ireland. That said it’s a good looking team, with Du Preez, Cummings, Darge, Vailanu in the forwards , I like that look of that along with the backs.
A five-point must for Glasgow and a powerful line-up despite international duties for nine absentees. Great to see Darge and Cummings back and both will soon be pushing for a call-up to the squad. George Hone will likewise want to prove a point. Relieved to see Fraser Brown on the bench after that misfire against France when the game was in the balance and the pressure was on. Sincerely hope that Ashman gets his chance in the 23 instead. He is some player and an attacking dynamo – perfect cover for the impressive Turner.
George Horne certainly has a point to prove… oh wait.. he already has proved it.
It does not seem to matter how well George is outplaying Price, he is just not favoured by Toony sadly, to the detriment of the Scotland Team.
