GLASGOW WARRIORS head coach Danny Wilson has made three changes to the starting XV which ran out against Connacht in last weekend’s PRO14 season opener, ahead of Sunday evening’s appointment with the Scarlets at Scotstoun.

Tight-head prop Zander Fagerson and open-side flanker Tom Gordon, who were with self-isolating last week because of possible Covid exposures, come into the team. That means Darcy Rae and Chris Fusaro drop to the bench, with Enrique Pieretto and recent Tongan signing Fotu Lokotui dropping out of the match-day squad altogether.

The other change is on the left wing, with Ratu Tagive replacing Robbie Nairn, while Niko Matawalu is promoted onto the bench.

Second-row Richie Gray is set to make his 50th appearance for the club when he comes off the bench.

“It’s great to welcome back Tom and Zander back into the starting line-up,” said Wilson. “They have completed their isolation protocols and are eager to play.

“Scarlets like to play a similar style of attacking rugby to ourselves, and with both sides looking to make amends from last weekend it should make for an entertaining game.

“Everyone is really excited to get back out playing at Scotstoun after such a long time away.”

  1. Just to warn everyone to avoid the Scottish rugby blog. One of their admins has been censoring a lot of fair debate for a while due to there extreme views, this website looks far more professional and fair.
