GLASGOW HAWKS will play the first two games of their 2017-18 BT Prmiership campaign at Scotstoun Stadium, home of Glasgow Warriors professional team.

The short term deal has been arranged after Hawks’ Old Anniesland base was rendered unplayable due to a sinkhole which appeared at the north side of the ground over the summer.

Hawks will kick off their season at Scotstoun against newly promoted Marr on Saturday with an early 2pm kick-off, and will return to the ground on 16th September to take on Heriot’s.

“We have a really strong relationship with Glasgow Warriors and we’re grateful to them for helping us play these games at Scotstoun. We look forward to kicking off our BT Premiership season against Marr at Scotstoun on Saturday,” said Glasgow Hawks president Kenny Hamilton.

“We’re pleased that we were able to work with Glasgow Life to make Scotstoun available to them for these September matches, while they repair their pitch or find alternative venues for the rest of the season,” said Glasgow Warriors managing director Nathan Bombrys.

“Fortunately, their matches don’t clash with our own fixtures and other events at Scotstoun, so we were able to accommodate them.”
