The offside Line appWe have recently introduced push notifications and a great new app,
to make sure you never miss the big story in Scottish rugby.

Why Install the App:

  1. Easy one click access to The Offside Line
  2. Speed! Pages load much faster
  3. Notifications for new stories
  4. Download pages to view them later offline
  5. Secure. Our app works without having, asking for or requiring access to any of your phone functions or any of the personal data on your phone.

This is how The Offside Line app might look like on your phone:

Download the App

iPhone and iPad

Visit our website and simply add the website to your home screen and this will install our app. It is safe and secure as our web app is fully encrypted with SSL.

Open The Offside Line in Safari. Click on the Share icon, then choose “Add to home screen”:

 

Now go to your home screen and you will see The Offside Line App. Done!

Minimum versions of Safari 11.1 and iOS 11.3 are required (you probably have that!). The app is simple to remove in the same way you uninstall any app.

Android and Windows

When you visit The Offside Line website you will be prompted to add The Offside Line to your home screen. Click on the pop-up box and you are done!

If you do not have the message and wish to add the app, then open The Offside Line in your browser, click on the three dots at the top right and select “Add to home screen”.

Push Notifications

You can enable push notifications on your computer or phone and on your computer. You will be asked if you want to allow push notifications from this website. Just click on yes and you will be updated when a new news story is published.

You can block notifications at any time. Just click on the red bell at the bottom of every TOL page and follow the instructions. We can help you if you have any questions or issues, just email us. Please note that this feature does not work on iPhone or iPad.

  1. Hi can you send me a link to download your offside app please? I seem to be having a problem downloading the App to home screen as the instructions don’t work.
