BLAIR KINGHORN will return to the Edinburgh team to face the Scarlets at Murrayfield tomorrow evening, just 13 days after coming off the bench in Scotland’s final World Cup match against host nation Japan. Fellow World Cup squad members Magnus Bradbury and Henry Pyrgos have end names on the bench.

Matt Scott returns from an injury picked up in round one to form an international centre partnership with Mark Bennett, while Fijian flyer Eroni Sau makes his debut on the right wing following his summer move from Perpignan.

Kiwi stand-off Simon Hickey makes his first start of the season alongside captain Nic Groom at scrum-half.

Fraseer McKenzie and Ally Miller join the pack in the second-row and at blindside flanker respectively.

“Scarlets are a good side, they’ve got good players and they’ve had as many missing as ourselves. They’re unbeaten, they’ve got a new coach who has a very expansive way of playing,” said Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill. “They’re pretty much like ourselves: they’re pretty functional, they look to get the ball wide, very hard off the line in defence – we’ve had a couple of games already where teams do that.

“We know what’s coming. We need to bounce back from a pretty average performance in parts at Leinster. It should be a great contest and we’re really looking forward to getting back in front of our home support at BT Murrayfield.”
