WES GOOSEN, a summer signing from New Zealand, will not make his Edinburgh debut until October at the earliest after picking up a calf injury in training, according to a medical bulletin issued by the capital club this morning.

The update also confirmed that No 8 Viliame Mata has returned to full training and is once again available for selection following a knee injury sustained last December, while tight-head prop Luan de Bruin is progressing well in his rehab of a hamstring injury and is expected to return to training in the coming weeks.
