EDINBURGH will host English Premiership side Gloucester in a pre-season friendly ahead of the 2024-25 campaign at Hive Stadium on Friday 13th September, with a 7.30pm kick-off.

The two sides faced each other at the same venue in January in the pool stage of the Challenge Cup, with the English outfit edging a narrow 20-21 victory on that occasion.

“We’re thrilled to announce this upcoming Scottish Building Society Pre-Season fixture against a top side in Gloucester,” said Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director, Douglas Struth.

“It will be the ideal warm-up match to kick-off the 2024/25 campaign, giving fans from both sides the chance to enjoy what should be some brilliant Friday night rugby at Hive Stadium.

“Thanks to Scottish Building Society for their continued support and backing of our pre-season fixture. We’re excited to work with their brilliant team to bring this match to life in the coming months.”
