HENRY Immelman is back from injury and will line up at full-back as Edinburgh return to action against Cardiff tomorrow. Blair Kinghorn returns at stand-off,  and Jamie Ritchie is in the back row as the squad’s injury list clears up to an extent.

Argentine international Emiliano Boffelli moves to the wing to accommodate Immelman, and is joined in a strong three-quarter line  by Ramiro Moyano, Mark Bennett and James Lang, who is also making his comeback from injury. The URC match at the DAM Health Stadium will be Edinburgh’s first outing since their memorable win over Saracens in the Challenge Cup 28 days ago.

“The squad are obviously champing at the bit to play competitive rugby after a number of weeks without fixtures and that has certainly shown in training this week, with guys putting their hand up for selection across the board,” head coach Mike Blair said. “We’re delighted to welcome back a number of players from injury and those guys selected will be desperate to put in a good performance and make the most of their opportunity.

  1. Wow, Edinburgh bonus point for four tries before half time. Bennet and Lang looking very sharp in mid-field and so good to see Magnus Bradbury having another big game (surely playing himself back into Scotland contention).

  2. Pretty much a fully loaded Edinburgh selection. Cardiff look fairly strong with good back up on the bench too.
Hopefully they get a decent weather window and both selected teams make the kick off.
Fingers crossed for an Edinburgh win.
    Wish we were there too.
