Date for Edinburgh’s Challenge Cup quarter-final clash confirmed

EDINBURGH will finally get to play their coronavirus-postponed Challenge Cup quarter-final clash away to Bordeaux-Begles on Saturday 19th September with a 1.30pm kick-off local time (12.30pm kick-off BST). The match will be shown live on BT Sport.

Tournament organisers EPCR stated last month that the weekend of 18th to 20th September had been earmarked for the return of European rugby but only confirmed the exact timings earlier today.

A full schedule for the quarter-finals of both the Heineken Champions Cup and the Challenge Cup is below –

SEMI-FINALS (to be played on weekend 25th to 27th September)

Semi-final 1 – winner of Leinster Rugby v Saracens will play the winner of ASM Clermont Auvergne v Racing 92

Semi-final 2 – winner of Toulouse v Ulster Rugby will play the winner of Exeter Chiefs v Northampton Saints

FINAL to be played on weekend 16th to 18th  October at venue TBC
