GLASGOW will play their Challenge Cup last-16 tie against Newcastle on Friday night, EPCR have announced. The single-leg tie at Kingston Park will kick off at 8pm. Edinburgh will be at home to Bath the following day, in a match that also kicks off at 8pm.

If they beat the English Premiership strugglers, Mike Blair’s side will remain at home for the quarter-finals, in which they will play the winners of Friday’s Biarritz v Wasps encounter. The Warriors, conversely, will be on the road again if they get the better of the Falcons: their opponents will be Lyon or Worcester, who also play on Friday night.

  1. Kick off 8pm!just when my train is leaving for Newcastle, another uncomfortable Megabus ride home 1-30am

  2. Why do Edinburgh Rugby ALWAYS get the worst Kick Off times? Do they not try to negotiate? Any of the other Kick Off times this weekend would be an improvement on 8.00pm on a Saturday night!
