GLASGOW WARRIORS head coach Danny Wilson has called six players who played for Scotland in last weekend’s defeat to Ireland straight back into his starting XV for tomorrow [Saturday] afternoon’s trip to Cardiff in the United Rugby Championship.
Scrum-half Ali Price, centres Sam Johnson and Kyle Steyn, hooker Fraser Brown, tight-head prop Zander Fagerson and flanker Rory Darge will all have a chance to exorcise a few demons from the national team’s disappointing Six Nations campaign.
In total, there are eight alterations to the starting XV that claimed a 30-17 victory over Edinburgh last time out, with loose-head prop Jamie Bhatti returning from a hand injury to join an all-changed front-row, and Ross Thompson starting at stand-off for the first time since January’s Champions Cup defeat to La Rochelle at Scotstoun. Another Scotland international in Oli Kebble returns from injury to take his place on the bench.

“After a good win against Edinburgh last time out, we know we’ll need to be better again to get a good win away to Cardiff this weekend,” said Wilson.
“Cardiff are a team with a strong home record. They’ve only lost once at home all season, including a good win against Leinster, so we know the scale of the challenge facing us.
“We won four of our five matches during the Six Nations window, so now we have our full squad back together we’ll be looking to kick on into the business end of the season.
