CAMERON REDPATH has suffered another major injury setback, with the Scotland and Bath centre set to miss the remainder of the calendar year after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee whilst playing a club game against Sale Shark earlier this month.

The 21-year-old, who had only recently returned from a neck injury picked up during his impressive international debut against England at the start of this year’s Six Nations, is looking at a seven to nine month recovery period after undergoing reconstructive surgery last Wednesday.

That means there is zero chance of him taking part in Scotland’s summer schedule. He was also believed to be on the stand-by list for the Lions in South Africa, but that won’t be the case anymore.

Redpath previously spent 10 months out of action recovering from an ACL rupture on his other (left) knee sustained in May 2018.

  1. He’s done it before (other knee) and came through it….. so he knows what it takes and has the support behind him to succeed. I wish him the best, and can’t wait to see him back in blue!

  2. Terrible shame, Redpath looked class V England.

Interesting who wears the 12 jerseys next month, Sam Johnson, Stafford McDowall, Jaco Van Der Walt (his best position IMO)

  3. Tough time ahead for Brush jnr. – with anything like his Dad’s mental toughness, grit & focus, hopefully he’ll come through ok.
