BT Premiership: Team-of the-week (round four)

AS ever, a couple of tight call this week. Grant Shiells in unlucky to miss out at loose-head prop after registering excellent stats for Melrose. Jack Turley is selected at open-side flanker after initially coming off the bench for Heriot’s in place of Jack McLean, but by the end of the match Phil Smith was running a rolling subs programme so he probably played right across the back five of the scrum. Fellow Heritors Michael Maltman and Martin Hughes should also feel hard done by not to make the cut.

Murdo McAndrew of Melrose and Tom Wilson of Heriot’s are also unlucky to miss out after scoring two tries each, but George Horne gets the nod at scrum-half.

James Johnstone also made a big case for selection at outside centre after coming off the bench for Melrose, but Robbie Mulveena edges it after an outstanding performance in his team’s riotous victory at Goldenacre
