THE pre-sale for tickets for 2023 Rugby World Cup in France will begin on 15th March, with Scotland rugby fans having the option to buy access to all Scotland pool matches at a cost of between €140 (£121 ) for category four tickets and €645 (£556) f0r category one tickets.
Should the optimistic fan want to purchase tickets for Scotland’s quarter-final as part of the package, the cost rises to €220 (£190) to €974 (£839).
Pre-registration for the pre-sale is open now. We think. Although the press release is pretty hard to get to grips with.

Don’t want to defend the prices but compared to Japan these are cheap !!
I am quite old fashioned, and this leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
They want more of the community to be involved in Rugby when numbers are falling. Yet they publish prices like this, and that does not include the cost of your travel and accommodation.
I am well aware that the tickets will get snapped up. But its just distasteful. Particularly when a recent statement by UEFA stated that they only need to fill 30% of a stadium for the Euros to turn a profit.
I am still going. But I have the luxury of a campervan.
I thought €140 for 4 games (€35 per game) was pretty reasonable, considering a 6 nations game is £80/90 for the cheapest tickets
Cat 4….you might as well be at home watching.
That also does not mean that I agree with the 6 nations prices either. Things got expensive because of the pro game and the recognition by unions they could charge ridiculous prices to fans and sponsors.
Take a look at what a team jersey costs now and what it actually takes to manufacture. The mark-up is around 1000%. Inflation year-on-year for rugby tickets in the last 20 years has been circa 20%. Inflation on the same scale & reference point has been around 1.6%
As a whole fans of the any sport that has a global reach are having their pants pulled down on a regular basis.
